Milan Žonca
Milan Žonca completed his BA and MA studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University
in Prague (Hebrew Studies, Comparative Religion). Since 2010 he is a postgraduate student of history at the School of History, Queen Mary, University of London, working under the supervision of Professor Miri Rubin.
His PhD project investigates how intellectual diversity and religious differences within Judaism were conceptualized and articulated in late medieval Ashkenazic communities. His academic interests also include polemical literature and various points of intersection between Jewish and Christian religious cultures in medieval Europe.
His commentary and Czech translation of two polemical works written by rabbi Moshe ben Nahman, the thirteenth-century leader of Catalonian Jewry, is scheduled for publication by Academia publishing house in Prague in late 2012.
