LEVERHULME LECTURE SERIES: PREMODERN INTERIORITIES

A series of three lectures exploring the pre-modern representation of the interior self will be delivered by Leverhulme Visiting Professor Paul Strohm:

WORKING MATERIALS

This is a new forum for medievalists at QMUL. As the name implies, here is an occasion to present work-in-progress, to share problems and source materials, to pool the wide-range of QMUL expertise in medieval studies.

On Tuesday, 7 February, 12am-2pm, in the Robert Tong Room, Mario Ascheri (Faculty of Law, University of Rome) will be talking about ‘The Great Century of a City-State: Siena in the Thirteenth Century’. Poster

On 10 January 2012 from 5-7pm, Dr Peter Denley will be speaking about his research on the 'Rituals of medieval university life'. Drinks will be available during the discussion.

At the inaugural meeting Yossi Rapoport will present some of his current research, on Tuesday, 1 November 2011, between 5 and 7, at the Lockkeeper's Cottage. 

At this inaugural session we may discuss ideas for the forum, perhaps over a glass of wine at its end. If you wish to present work, please contact Miri Rubin.
